Event Description:
INCLUDES ALL THREE MORNING SESSIONS FROM MAY-JULY. This three part series of two hour morning sessions is for business-owning families who want to better understand family conflicts, their prevention, strategies, tools and options for resolution within the context of owning or working in a family business. This series of sessions will be an interactive presentation with open discussions that will incorporate participants’ specific areas of interest and needs, as well as common themes in family business conflicts. Further, this series will help participants apply what they learned to their family’s particular circumstances. Part I is a required prerequisite before taking Part II and Part III of this program to be sure all sessions are enjoyable and productive for everyone. Each participant can develop personalized action plans and have time for mutual learning and Q&A with NYCFEC’s Faculty expert. Each part includes: Part I: Understanding Family Conflict – Friday, May 11, 2018, 9:00 – 11:00 AM This session introduces common themes in family business conflicts and provides an opportunity to consider participants’ specific areas of interest. Part II: Applying Basic Strategies to Address Family Conflict -Tuesday, June 19, 2018, 9:00 – 11:00 AM Building on the knowledge of concepts covered in Part I, this session will focus on practical methods and techniques to prevent and resolve family conflicts. Part III: Refining Your Conflict Management Skills – Thursday, July 19, 2018, 9:00 – 11:00 AM This session will help participants evaluate and enhance their efforts to apply what they learned in Part II to their family’s particular circumstances. These sessions are small, confidential and private, so you can feel safe about raising or discussing any of your challenges or questions through the sessions. You do not have to disclose your full name or identify your family business during the session. All NYCFEC sessions are confidential, neutral, and respectful of all parties. No solicitation or commercial influence is permitted. You can feel safe about raising or discussing any of your own challenges or questions throughout the session. In NYCFEC sessions, you do not have to disclose your full name or identify your family business during the session. PRICE INCLUDES ALL THREE SESSIONS.
